黒磯

先日、ノアノラの商品撮影も兼ねてずっと気になっていた街、栃木県は那須塩原の玄関口、黒磯にデイトリップしてきました。
かつては皇族が那須御用邸に向かう際に黒磯駅からお召し列車で発着していたこともあり、駅周辺は静かでレトロな建物が残る気持ちの良い時間が流れていました。

カフェ好きやコーヒー好きにとって黒磯はSHOZO CAFEのある街として認知されていますが、またそこを中心として多くはないけれどパン屋やマルシェ、アンティークの家具屋や雑貨屋、レストランなどが点在し、少しずつ広がりを見せているようです。

訪れて思ったのはそれらのお店ひとつひとつがおしゃれですばらしいセンスを持ちながら、黒磯という土地に根ざした現地の方々の生活の息吹を感じられる一貫した空気を持っているという印象。ただ旅行客として訪れ過ごしたり遊ぶための目的地ではなく、たとえばここで食材や生活雑貨を買いこんでここで休んであそこで友人と談笑して、といったような自分がここで生活をした時に１日の流れが眼に浮かぶような暮らすように旅することのできるとても素敵な街でした。
モノ、ヒト、文化、自然と触れ合えるそんな黒磯はこれから自分にとって特別な土地のひとつになりそうです。
ノアノラの道具たちもささやかに生活のシーンの一部を彩るブランドでありたいと思っています。既存のラインナップに加え、さらに個々の生活に寄り添った小さな道具もデザインしていく予定ですので新作をお楽しみに。

The other day, we had a day trip to Kuroiso in order to take our brand’s photoshoots. Kuroiso is the entrance of Nasushiobara which is a well-known district as a summer retreat beside great nature. Moreover, there is a Imperial Villa, so town has developed particularly.
Looking around from the station, we can feel very pleasant and calm air, and find some charming retro buildings which seems to be constructed during pre-war era.

Speaking of Kuroiso, Shozo Cafe may first comes to for almost all cafe or coffee freaks. Shozo has opened his cafe there since 1988, and led Japanese cafe scene wholly. After that, some young entrepreneurs, who sympathized Shozo’s project, have opened their shops like bakeries, boutiques, vintage furniture shops, and restaurants one by one. It contributes to the town looks pretty lively and youthful.

Those shops and restaurants are not only fashionable and sophisticated, but also they have same atmosphere that makes us aware of scenes of local dwellers at the same time. All shops are deeply rooted in the local community and create friendly society as well. Thus, Kuroiso is an ideal destination ‘to travel to live’.
